Multi Function Printer - which inkjet MFP can still scan and fax when the ink is out?

I am looking for a MFP. However, I heard that Epson MFP will not scan or fax when the ink is out. Does any know other brand or model will still scan and fax?

well google it. look in the Epson MFP series. There might be an Ink catch like maybe backup ink, or laser
