Do inkjet t-shirt transfers require special types of ink?

Or can I just use whatever regular ink I used to print photos and documents?Do inkjet t-shirt transfers require special types of ink?
Go to staples or computer store and but transfer paper for deskjet. You don't need special ink because it is the paper that is treated and not the ink.

Transfer paper are all tiny bubbles filled with ink and when you iron it on a T-shirt, the bubbles burst and seeps in the tissue. Also, put a sheet of paper over the transfer paper so that your iron heats it up slowly to let the ink seep in the tissues.

That way, it will withstand quite a few wash before anything comes off.Do inkjet t-shirt transfers require special types of ink?
You don't need special inkjet printing ink for your printer to print the t-shirt transfers - you can use the ink you have in your printer (however I would make sure that you have relatively new cartridges to make sure you have bright colors for the shirt imprint).

Then all you need is the transfer paper for the shirt - this is where all the magic happens and the ink gets transfered to the shirt.
