It's possible that the cartridge chip has to be reset in order to work with your printer. A lot of inkjet cartridges have chips that are required for the printer to function properly. When you install aftermarket (knock-off) cartridges, they sometimes do not have this chip and when they do, most often they are not correctly programmed to work with the printer. There are ways to reset these chips to get them to work. This you'll have to search online or ask the vendor you purchased your cartridges from to get instructions specifically for your printer and cartridge.I am have hp inkjet printer with refillable catriges but the ink status is showing an warning symbol.?
It will continue to show that status message. The printer has memory that remembers those cartridges as empty. The printer will forever remember that electronic encoding and register it as a used cartridge. Just deal with the annoyance click OK and continue to print.
The warning is an indication that ink levels are very low, or the cartridge is completely dried up . You should refill the cartridges as soon as you can.
