Generic Ink Cartridges (Calidad) for Epson inkjet printer (TX600)?

Has anyone used Calidad generic cartridges in the Epson printer TX600?





Did they have trouble or were no problems?





This is not the type of printer where the print heads are separate from the ink reserve. It is a regular inkjet with cartridge and printhead together.

Don't know Calidad but i do know Epsons! Good Epsons have a smaller nozzle size than anyone Else's, they are easily clogged when not cleaned, not used often or just plane abused! The genuine Epson ink is finer than most other inks, so a ';generic'; ink MAY...and i emphasize may, cause a problem. I had the older x600 years ago and did a lot of printing on it...mostly manuscripts and news articles, but often hi-gloss pictures as well. I started using generic ink to save money and it worked for some time,,but..the times when it ';crapped out'; it was due to ink problems. I would have to disassemble the printer to get to the print head to clean...the ';down time'; wasn't worth the money i saved! You could use the generic ink ';in a pinch'; but I certainly don't recommend using them full time! especially on Epsons! Do I still use Epson printers?...I'm very happy with my newer Artisan 800..!
